
Keeping Busy
This Friday is my last day on Disney Junior’s Ariel, the production I’ve been working on for the past two and a half years. As of next Monday, I’ll be on the job market! I decided to jot down a list of things I’ll finally have time to do once I’m unemployed.
- cleaning the house
- weeding the garden
- redesigning my author website
- creating new work portfolios
- writing a novel
- making personal art
- building shelves in the shed
- writing pilot scripts for my screenwriting portfolio
- getting UX certified
- updating my blog on a regular schedule
- recording and editing YouTube videos
- taking the dogs for more walks in the park
- teaching Hearth (the dog) tricks
- teaching Blaze (the cat) tricks
- teaching my five-year-old niece (the human) tricks
- designing merch to sell at cons and markets
- starting an adult volleyball club and then pitching a graphic novel about starting an adult volleyball club
- building a greenhouse
- throwing parties
- finally finishing Persona 5
- making focaccia from scratch
- (re)learning to sew
- volunteering at the old folks home and forming a meaningful relationship with a former dancer named Gladys who’s lived a life
- drawing new storyboards and animatics
- overnight oats??? (google this)
- getting to #1 on the slither.io leaderboard, it’s over for them bros
- fist fighting every single mosquito
- napping
