WORK EXPERIENCE

Lab Monitor, Ringling College of Art and Design. 2008-2010
  • Supervised up to 200 students in the Computer Animation department.
  • Performed frequent checks of eight open labs and classrooms and 150 computer stations.
  • Monitored use of two sound rooms and printer paper levels.
  • Assisted students with technical issues in Maya and other software as needed.
  • Story Intern, Sony Pictures Animation, Culver City, CA. Summer 2009
  • As part of a five-person team of artists and the director, worked on the development of a direct-to-DVD feature-length family film for release in 2011.
  • Reviewed Sony’s past animated features, character models, and current outline to understand character types, setting, and story pacing.
  • Developed ideas for visual and verbal gags, conversation, and action moments with a large ensemble cast.
  • Storyboarded six scenes, two to four minutes in length, focusing on consistency of character, sequence continuity, and staging.
  • Participated in meetings with the story team, the producer, and visual development artists in reviewing the technical feasibility of the story and 3D character, sets, and prop designs.
